Venice Beach

We will meet straight out from the parking lot (lowered white canopy) located right where Venice Blvd ends. 2100 Ocean Front Walk Venice, CA 90291  (Venice Blvd. becomes North Venice Blvd. as you get closer to the beach)  Just let the attendant know that you are dropping off / picking up and they normally will let you through without any issue.  They may just ask that you do so in a timely manner.  If there is any issue, I plan to be nearby to claim kids outside of the lot if necessary.  Other options are that there may be metered parking across the street or they may allow you to just park in the exit lane by the attendant booth.  Please text or call if there are any issues (213) 309-3716.

Field Trip Adventure

We meet at Memorial Park (parking lot is accessible off of 14th Street just north of Olympic Blvd.) at 9am and then will go off on an adventure to a local trail, park or beach. Some of our favorite places during summer include but are not limited to Will Rogers State Park and Beach, North Beach Playground, Topanga Beach, Malibu Lagoon, El Matador and Santa Ynez Canyon. We do not choose our locations until closer to the date and sometimes I let the children be involved in the process. If you would like to know where we will be headed on any given day please text 213-309-3716 or you can email: info@coastalkidsla.com

  • Make sure to have children sun screened upon arrival and pack some sunscreen if you would like for us to reapply (contact director about purchasing safe sunscreen if you are running low) beautycounter.com/coastalkids

  • Please either have children in swim clothes or pack them. Please include extra clothes and a bag for wet and / or muddy clothes.

  • Label as many of your child’s items as you can if you would like them to return home. This also helps staff in being able to quickly identify what belongs to whom. Please remind children to put away their clothes and food, to zip them up in their backpack. Taking care of one’s possessions is a valuable lesson to learn early in life. We often end up with a lot of unclaimed clothes / towels / water bottles and I have seen many lunches either eaten by seagulls or other kids or ruined by sand.

  • Please do not bring toys or items from home.

Pick up is at Memorial Park at 2pm unless you have arranged for a longer or shorter day or have been notified otherwise. Please text / call 213-309-3716 if you have any difficulties or need extended hours. There is a late fee of $1 / minute if you arrive after a 5 minute grace period.

Locations are subject to change due to weather, the amount of kids, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to give as much advance notice for any changes.

Thank you
