Summer Camps starting up on the beach in Santa Monica (Lifeguard Tower 26) June 8, 2026. Early bird rates end May 1st. Hours 9-2pm with extended day options. Ages 2 and up. Seal Beach location opening Summer 2026. We are open most school holidays and breaks throughout the year and are all outdoors. We accept private groups. We also provide beach birthday party setups.
Coastal Kids LA began with combining a personal love of being outdoors with a professional love of teaching children. Director and founder Gordon C Ewing has taught early childhood education for 14 years and has been active outdoors his whole life.
We currently offer Summer and Spring Break Camps as well as hosting outdoor adventures on most School Holidays and all those random off days. Our locations are either on the beach in Santa Monica or trails in Pacific Palisades. Normal hours are 9-2pm with extended day options available. Private groups are welcome. “We absolutely love this program! Our son goes 2x a week and he is always covered in nature and happy when I pick him up. Each week, Teacher Gordon and Teacher Grace take the kids to different adventures around Santa Monica (hiking, the beach, parks, etc) where they get to explore and be outside (something most kids don’t get enough of). More importantly, Gordon knows know to navigate the socio-emotional aspect of development really well. He sets loving boundaries so the kids feel secure and happy. I can’t recommend this program enough!”
